Staff on time® PalmScan is a time/attendance and access control solution based on a new and revolutionary biometrical technology, for companies up to 2100 users.

The PalmScan technology is based on the capture, comparison and verification of the image of the skin of the palm of the hand. If we observe held up the palm of a hand we will be able to see that there are an infinity of details in its surface; the folds of flexion of the skin, the distribution of the different lines of the hand, the capillaries, the veins, the scars, the wrinkles… All these details form indeed the unique model which allows distinguishing clearly an individual among all the others more exclusively than fingerprint technology does.
The biometric system we developed allows to extract those details from a portion of the palm of the hand’s surface and to compare them efficiently and quickly with a model which has previously been stored in the data base (enrolment).
The huge variability of the data used guaranties that the index of confusion is extremely low. Likewise, the efficiency of the identification algorithm, assures that a person who has to be recognised won’t be refused by the system.
The Palm Scan terminal includes 10 buttons with 10 digits allowing to assign an individual code to each user, in this way, the search of the hand model is immediate and the error possibility by false negative is reduced to zero. The terminal also has other keys such as delete function, special function and scanner activation keys.
The terminal (thanks to sensitive buttons) is designed to be used through a window without direct contact with it. This “contact less” technology allows the recognition of the image of the palm of the hand skin without any physical contact. This gives advantages such as no maintenance and isolated water proof structure making possible the access control in outdoor environments like shop windows, railings, garages… you won’t have to worry about the climatic factor or vandalism as it is protected behind a window or an armoured glass.
PalmScan terminal can be connected via a USB/Ethernet cable at a maximum distance of 45m from the nearest control unit. It is a Plug and Play terminal and will inform us about the clocking in/out via text messages in its LCD screen and acoustical signs.
